From dreams to ownership: she's arrived.

After many years of lusting for one, endless back-and-forth indecisiveness and months of torturous waiting, I finally took delivery of my 2012 Cayenne S this morning. I had a long, emotional welcome-to-my-life post in mind for its arrival, but I'm too exhilarated and just so, so happy to have my car after all this time.

Some of the key options [high spec, brace yourselves]:
- Exterior in dark blue metallic
- Interior in two-tone black and titanium blue
- 20-inch RS Spyder Design wheels with colored wheel centers
- 18-way adaptive sports seats
- Panoramic roof system
- Sports exhaust system
- Reversing camera including front/rear ParkAssist
- Aluminum interior package
- Aluminum gear selector
- Heated front/rear seats + ventilated front seats
- Burmester High-End Surround Sound System

The car is simply breathtaking, and I was informed by my dealer that it's the only one in Kuwait in that color combination [people here tend to favor all-beige interiors]. The interior is incredible - extremely classy and understated - and I really am hard-pressed to find any words to describe the Burmester system. I've been smiling non-stop since the morning and my face now hurts, but I can't stop. I've already put 200 kilometers on it and plan on getting more in, all within the parameters of the break-in for the first 3000 kilometers; that's where the fun begins.

I'll get pictures/more details up soon. Porsche was right: you won't be able to sleep the night before delivery and won't want to the night after.

Great news,I am delighted for you
Nice that your wonderful enthusiasm has deservedly been rewarded
Dark blue is a beautiful and elegant choice,I had the same on my former 997tts..but with the beige interior you mentioned
I have the 18way seats as well, with a black leather interior and alcantara headliner..so i am curious what the titanium touch looks like
I admire your restraint during the breaking-in period, cause that is not exactly how I went about it
I wish you as happy, exciting, safe and worry-free an experience as I have had and continue to
The road feels great behind the wheel of such a vehicle
Happy trails

We need pics of the titanium blue ASAP!! I was going to get that color combo in my white CS but opted for the Espresso instead. I'd love to see some real-life pics.

This took a little longer than I expected, but I got caught up with several family-related activities over the past few days.

In any case, here are a few quick photos I took with my iPhone; I'll work on better ones as soon as I can. Do share your opinions!

I would like to say a big thank you to everyone for the kind words.

I can't be happier with this car - I've put almost 600 kilometers on it since I took delivery on Wednesday and can't get enough! Got back to work today though and had to leave it at home; my workplace doesn't have parking [quite embarrassing, really] so we have to resort to ditching our cars on the streets or on sidewalks and risk dinged doors, damaged bumpers or broken mirrors so I'm back to using the old Envoy...

More pictures coming soon! Thanks again for the feedback, and I'm open to any specific photo requests you guys may have.

I have a quick question to Cayenne owners about oil. I was given a liter of Mobil 1 at delivery and was told to add it to the engine if the light came on. I'm currently at 750 kilometers and the oil level reads "OK" so I haven't done anything.

Do I add the oil now or keep it until I get a notification of low levels? Also, if it reads as low, do I simply add it to the engine with the disposable paper funnel or should I have the dealer do it?

Silly questions, I know, but where better to ask than here?

look at your oil level on the PCM panel under Vehicle and see how full it is. That might answer your question.
