Thanks deilenberger!

If I could, I would rep you, but it seemed I repped you for another post before so I can't for now.

Edit: just purchased the polished Stainless version of yours, while the brushed should match with the silver painted lip of the trunk lid when closed, I felt the polished stainless would match the interior stainless steel sill when the trunk is open.

Likewise, trying to figure out which one to get for my GTS I'm picking up in two weeks.

Great photos and thanks for all the info. Haven't scratched bumper on our 2017 yet, but this part makes a lot of sense.

Good to know it's well packaged.

I had ordered a similar trim piece for another vehicle (completely different vendor) and it arrived bent. Hassle to return and get a new one.

I have a 17 GTS, is the bumper lip unchanged? From what year onward? Don't want to order the wrong thing!

Here's two pictures, a nice clean one from Porsche's Tequipment pages and another dirty one from my driveway.

Is it me or does this not look the same as the ones linked previously?

So if it's different, is there anyone making a similar thing for the later models?

Just an update, the sill protector is I got from ebay protrudes a little bit past the edge of the bumper, it can catch and pull up. Going to return it.

Pix would help. Some amount of overlap is probably a good thing as it'd help deflect edge impacts from nicking the bumper skin. That and additional strips of 3M auto tape can help adhere it more securely.

That does look like it has an additional step of some sort in it. Haven't seen one made to fit it - but probably only a matter of time.
