I'm in the Toronto area. I bought the extended warranty and paid $3,200, if I recall. It was back in August so not 100percent sure. Price is negotiable though. I passed on all other offers/products.

actually that's a great offer, i would consider this is very reasonable price for 6 years. in the Middle East (UAE) we pay around $1,650 per year starting from 3rd year. but we still don't have prepaid maintenance.
(first 2 years are normaly covered by the manufactor) so in order to have 6 years warranty... lets calculate $1,650 * 4 = $6,600

Actually, the cost is about the same as yours, its just that our standard warranty is longer. We have 4 year or 80,000 kms (whichever comes first) as a standard warranty in Canada and US, and the extended warranty adds 2 years so you get 6 years or 160k kms (whichever comes first). At a total cost of $3,200, its about $1,600 /yr., which is just about the same as yours.
well, just picked up the car today. i passed on both offers as they refused to negotiate on these prices. well, i guess I need to spend money on winter tires first anyway.
