Cayenne Turbo Front bumper retrofit

Hello All,

Was wondering if there was a definitive solution to doing this? I got a CD, and would like to buy the retrofit kit from Suncoast

But, as the parts manager told me and this threads on this forum say, we will no longer have DRLs work

Has anyone found a way to wire those lights somewhere else so as to not lose DRL functionality?

Thanks

If you look closely, day-time running lights and headlights are different between GTS/Turbo models and other models. DRL is intergrated in the headlight housing of the GTS/Turbo.

Yes, I've seen the pics of the integrated DRL on turbos

But by replacing the bumper only, shouldn't the original lights and wiring stay in the same place? Am I imagining something different? This basically takes the front "mask" off the CD and replaces it with the turbo "mask"

None of the internals should change so why would the original DRLs not work?

Please help me understand

No because the original bumper lights dont fit and the turbo bumper lights dont have a provision for DRL... its in the headlights. The Suncoast conversion comes with bumper cover, LED lights, and hardware.

If I do a bumper retrofit, does anyone know if that will throw codes on the dash for not having the DRLs?
