Latest DME reprogram makes my CTT exhaust sound like a Panny GTS

My wife hit a pothole yesterday morning and blew out a tire on our CTT (gotta love Chicago streets...and tire/wheel warranties). The dealer reprogramed the engine control computer (DME) per an open campaign (invoice states 'WD03').

I picked it up this afternoon and swear that the exhaust sounds (tremendously) "better" than before. Much more raspy, like the sport exhaust on a Panny GTS. Is this possible?

Part of me thinks it just because the DME's memory was reset as part of the re-flash and it was a cold start (I feel like my M3 has had this same thing happen after similar engine DME reflashes), but I have to say that it does sound pretty bad ***. This is my second 958 CTT and neither ever sounded like this...

Doesn't sound any better to me, but I do notice tiptronic shifting is much smoother.
