Ride Height Adjustment impact

I have now had my "new to me" CPO 2011 Cayenne Turbo for a month and have mostly figured out the various options but still don't have a good handle on the ride height adjustments.

My question is what is the impact, if any, on the ride of changing the ride height from Normal to Low on ride comfort? I can certainly feel the difference between Comfort and Sport on the shocks. Normal vs. Sport is more subtle but I think I have that down but I don't feel any difference in the ride heights except for some body roll (the car does not have PDCC).

As an aside since I am still fiddling with the damn seat...why do I fiddle now when in the old days the "bench" only when forward or backward and the steering wheel was fixed? I have GT2 seats on my Cayman and never fiddle. Not ruling out that the Comfort seats don't work perfectly for me but I still wonder if it is just that I can fiddle as opposed to any significant difference...

Thanks

the car will automatically lower to low mode when you reach a certain high speed. you can put it in low mode manually if you prefer... it's a bit more stable when lower, but the shock can not travel as far, so it's also a bit stiffer feeling.

Thanks for confirming what I suspected, that the suspension travel would have had to change and that would impact its response.

If you are driving on particularly pothole ridden roads, it is normally a good idea to raise the suspension from low to normal mode. With the additional suspension travel, it is better able to dampen the potholes. FWIW, you will love the air suspension. Including using the highest setting to peak above traffic when you are completely stuck on the highway :P

Thanks. Some roads around here in CT certainly need that higher position.

I have been struck by the higher ride and will try raising it up sometime too. Given when I look out of my lowered Cayman I am looking at people's hubcaps it is a big change for me!
