Tried to capture a picture - sorry it's not very good. You can see the cargo cover, the arms and the net. I'm not sure how to mount the net or take out the cargo cover. The cargo arms at the bottom have buttons that allow you to move the arms to the point where they can be removed.
Thanks to all of you for the kind words. 1 week/1200 miles in and the CGTS is simply amazing!
I found this forum when trying to decide on whether to return to Porsche (purchased a '78 928 in 1986 - bought it 2 weeks before the Challenger disaster
) or to try a foray into a BMW X5M. Three BMW dealerships would not let me test drive an X5M so that made the choice rather simple. Thank you BMW for not allowing me to make a HUGE mistake!

What a beauty an incredible spec I might add!
I wouldn't stress over the PCCB's, I think your dealer was right.
First of all they don't stop any better than steel, in fact they are worse until warmed up and they are far noisier. Besides, in Alaska I imagine you have lots of gravel roads, those rotors are very easily chipped by flying stones and I think for your environment steel is the way to go.
Enjoy your beautiful new ride in good health!

Your GTS is superb. Got carried away with the options, I see, eh? LOL. Enjoy!
BTW - I used to live in Spring just south of you and the BMW dealer on FM 1960 and I-45 would not let me test drive the M. He probably would have gotten the sale because I was ready to buy with large DP in hand! That's sort of what I was alluding to. - that it would be a huge mistake to buy such a pricey car without the benefit of a test drive. That's just nuts to me!
Needsdecaf - you're probably right. The X5M does have it's merits. I'm just so enamored with the Cayenne and how intuitive things appear to be.

GTS is a great machine, and you should have some nice roads to enjoy it up there! Down here, there's a reason I picked the diesel. It's perfect for our roads and traffic!
