Thoughts on Active Cruise Control

I've searched through threads on Active Cruise Control. Thanks to w00t for his great write up!

For those who have it, would you opt for it again and why. For those who don't have it, can you chime in on why you didn't select it?

Thanks in advance!

Have it, love it for the highway long drives. Only wish I could shorten the shortest following distance.

I also have it on both Cayenne and Panamera, use it weekly, very reliable system. Another plus is the passive feature that tells you when you are too close or coming in too fast to the car in front of you at the light. I think it also pre-fill the brake for you in an emergency stop.

I can't think of enough superlatives about their implementation of ACC. Routinely will slow the car down to a stop when necessary. The only bad thing about it - when I go on vacation and rent a car and use their cruise control I almost wreck each time waiting for the rental car to stop automatically!

I always get it in any car that has it available as an option. Had it in my CTT.

I didn't choose it, and I regret it!
I didn't opt for it because my build was getting out of hand. I drive mostly city so it would be a feature seldom used. On my second long trip I realized I made a big mistake.

definitely get it... even if only to have the active radar safety system... huge benefit if you ever get distracted. highly recommend.
