OEM in-car WI-FI option
OEM in-car WI-FI option
I'm new to the forum as I picked up wife's 2014 CTT this past week. Amazing piece of engineering. I decided not to get built-in DVD's due to their insane cost and instead ordered the built in-car WIFI and a couple iPads as a cheaper and more useful alternative. Here's the problem.... The $1300 plus option is only 3G capable and is no good for streaming content or even moderate web surfing.
I strongly recommend to stay clear from this option as you can get a portable mifi unit with 4G LTE service to meet such needs for next to nothing with a data plan contract. If I only knew...

Thanks for letting us know about that. Glad I didn't go out of my way to get that option. Porsche seems to be a bit behind in the internet/IT area. I think their USB stick is still 4GB at $60. Yes, I know, because someone will always say "you're buying the car for the performance, not the electronics" but I expect it all especially at the prices paid.
