Trade 2011 Touareg TDI for 2014 Cayenne Diesel?
Trade 2011 Touareg TDI for 2014 Cayenne Diesel?
Hi All,
We are pondering a trade.
Dealer offering 8% off the 2014 Diesel that is built exactly as we'd like.
Wondering if any of you came from Touaregs into your Cayennes.
I know they are very similar, but the wife has the bug for the Porsche.
Anyhow, appreciate your thoughts as well as overall impressions of the 2014 Cayenne D.
thanks

Also depends on how you intend to use them. Only the center differential locks on current diesel model, not sure about the rest of the Cayenne line up. Took ours off road, it will kick out of "off-road" mode at 19mph. The cruise control only works above 20 mph. Very frustrating to constantly reset. Issue is that there were many stretches of road where we went in the low 20mph range trying to keep up with the Land Cruiser, Rubicon, and Xtera we went with.

We looked at the Tourareg TDI Exec when we bought our Cayenne and made the decision to buy the Porsche and haven't regretted it in a second. The differences to steering and suspension are palpable. The car rides, drives, steers and brakes much differently than a Touareg - admittedly an excellent vehicle in it's own right. It feels much, much more special.
In addition, 8% is a good deal. In most areas of the country the diesel is in high demand and dealers are getting full MSRP. If the build is exactly as you'd like, pull the trigger!!
Finally...if Momma is happy, then you are happy. Remember that. LOL.
