Bluetooth OBDII

I picked up this inexpensive OBDII scanner (uses OBDII port) and the Android app Torque Pro for $4.95 and it's pretty amazing what you can do with what you can see on it and do on it real time. Just getting started with it. Wonder if anyone else has played with it.

It's an ELM327 mini adapter and it seems the 958 is completely compatible with all the functionality.

surprised there were no comments on this. It's really pretty cool and price is so low! Some screenshots below, some while driving as you can see realtime displays:

few more screenshots

Here are a few more screenshots. Accelerometer apparently comes from phone itself. Haven't played with that. Will likely need to configure and mount phone to see it.

Cool. I have a iPhone though and Apple is a bunch of @#$%&^* about allowing BT devices to be used

After having nothing but Macs and iDevices in my house for 14 years, I am seriously thinking about a G5 to replace my 4s.

I understand. I have it installed on a Galaxy S5 and an old Galaxy Nexus that is rooted. Both work well. I have/had other Androids before that. Also have iPhone4 (now my MP3 player for my CTT), iPad mini, iPad2, Mac Pro and numerous PCs. I'll bet by the time you decide on S5, the iPhone 6 will be announced and you'll likely get that I might do that with my other cell phone.

Anyhow, with the small dongle, you get a small CD that has about 5 different ODBII software programs on it. They are all PC based. One of them doesn't require a license. Regardless, I didn't install any of those, rather instead bought the $4.95 Android app "Torque Pro". This was after reading the reviews on Amazon and I'm not disappointed. Resetting fault codes is also a function not mentioned above. I'm even thinking now of another ProClip location to put an Android Tablet to see all the dials when running!
