Adding PTV and PDCC
Adding PTV and PDCC
Have a 2013 GTS, didn't know much about Porsche's before this car. Can I add these two options through the dealership or do they have to be factory? Would it be worth it? From what I have read on other threads these two chasis mods are awesome and make a big difference.

I test drove one with and one without PTV and PDCC like driving two different cars. I think it would be cheaper to sell the car without and buy one with. I crawled under the one with. The entire front and rear suspension would need to be changed, not to mention the addition of hydraulic pumps lines and electronics. I think the locking differential is also different and it's associated electronics. The $5K the options cost start to look like a bargin.

Even if you physically swapped out the hardware, you would still have an issue with the wiring loom since each wiring loom is specific to the options ordered from the factory.
Generally speaking, most Porsche features cannot be retrofitted due to these restraints. Of course, there are a few rare exceptions (like adding a tow bumper).
