Hi all

I had my 2011 CD remapped via the OBD on Saturday (done that way because the tuner didn't have the right bolts to replace the ones that fix the ECU in place) by a local tuner who writes the files based on what I want from the car and I have a question please?

In "sport" the gearbox is changing up when the revs reach circa 2200 so very quickly, meaning I'm reaching 8th gear way sooner than Id have liked. I know the diesels don't rev like a petrol but is that correct? It held gears far longer in "sport" pre tune.

The tune has smoothed the "sport" jerkiness in lower gears which is nice and it can definitely be felt but I wonder if I'm not getting the most from it because the gearbox is shifting up too soon?

I have left a message with the tuner and await his reply but thought id ask the experts first?

For info, the tune is + 45 bhp and circa 80 Nm of torque.
