I've got the Sapphire Blue paint and it came with the black lettering. I'm debating either going chrome or dipping the GTS in red.

Yep, saw your posts and figured I'd give it a try at some point.

How did you mask out the letters?

Thanks. Interesting technique. I don't think I'll be doing mine since mine are white (on white) - it was a model-delete option of some kind, but I may think of other uses for PlastiDip where that technique might come in handy...

its insanely easy.. my porsche was the first time i did it and it came out amazing.. I wouldnt spend any money on buying the black letters with this option but thats me... I had my wheels plastidipped by a professional and they also came out great. The wheels was harder to do so I gave it to someone else.

I've lost like a half hour of my life watching emblem plasti-dip videos! Don't know why it's so fun to watch the peeling off of the excess.

I am curious though. I use a high pressure, touchless car wash quite a bit. I feel like it would blow the coating right off the letters.

I have my cars hand washed so I am not sure... If you want to waste another 30 min of your life, i am pretty sure there are videos of people pressure washing their plastidipped cars.

I have been thinking of blacking out my emblem and the trunk piece in spring. Does anybody have picture of a Meteor Grey with black emblems?

Also, there's a new product called Autodip which sprays gloss instead of the regular plastidip matte black. Supposedly, I doesn't have the rubberized texture. Cost a lot more for a can, but has anybody tried it?

I personally prefer the matte to shiny.. You can always just plastidip it and if you dont like it, peels right off.

My other car has the matte emblem and after seeing my friend's gloss black Range Rover lettering I'm pretty set on having gloss letters now.

You guys can get plastdip for cheap in the states. In Canada, they sell for $25.99 + tax. which is almost $30 / can.

Hmmm, wonder how close Autodip's Lemans Blue comes to Porsche's Sapphire Blue...
