Front Parking Sensors at Stoplight/Sign??

Hi All,

Did some cursory searching and haven't braved the manual yet, but one of my biggest annoyances in my 14 GTS is that the front parking sensors go off when there is a car in front of you at a stop. I'm not that close! Is there a way to adjust the sensitivity? Happens all of the time and manually turning it off is not only a pain, but I forget to turn it back on during that trip. Once it's off, it's off until you start the car next.

Thanks!

I don't think you can adjust it. My manual says it kicks on at 31.5 inches (I have a 2015).

If yours cones on further out then that, I would check your manual and maybe have it looked at during your next service. If that is the distance yours operates at also, you can just try stopping out a little further. I find 31" is pretty close and seems like a reasonable range.

Thanks. Yeah, I eyeballed the manual last night and mine is 47 inches. No obvious adjustment available. Guess they tightened it up a bit on the 2015. I don't feel that close to cars in front of me. Happened again at the coffee drive through this morning. Now it's just on my mind, so it's more annoying.

Between this and the ticking noise at idle, I want to pull my hair out. Then I just go WOT for a second and the sound of the exhaust makes everything right with the world again!

With an eHybrid the only ticking noise I hear at idle is my watch.
