I have a follow-up question for fellow members: the pictures below are from one of the tires that's at 50% tread. Can this be unsafe to drive? Thanks for your feedbacks!

 

Can you give the name and address of the refinisher? They did a great job.

 

The dealer gave me this number.. His name is Gary. 818-321-3027. Please note, all repairs were arranged by the dealer so I didn't deal with him directly. Please contact him for more references.

 

The tire on the left side is down to the wear bars.. so it's more like 20% not 50%.. The other isn't quite as bad, but it's not great either.

 

The sidewall tear (yellow fingernail) looks concerning to me. That's a weak spot in my opinion. For peace of mind, and the fact that the tire is already at 20-50%, just buy 2 new tires. then you'll have all 4 tires match in tread depth

 

Yeah....looks like you should get two new tires, get all 4 situated in the correct corners and then you will have piece of mind and truly get to enjoy your new purchase! It's an added expense, but you'll need to do it soon anyhow.

The refinished rims look great. They were in BAD shape.

 

These rims are face side convex and protrude out about 1/2" beyond the tire wall on the face side. As a result they should only be laid face side up on any surface. Any one working on the wheels can damage these very easily if not aware.
