rear wiper blade missing

I found out the hard way the rear wiper blade was missing. I went to use the rear wiper and the scratching noise indicated the wiper was missing.Of course the the plastic arm scratched the glass.

Has this happened to anyone just losing the rear wiper blade?

Thanks

No, but I'm still on my original (MY13) and have been putting off replacing it even though it is useless since it's a pain to fine and expensive. Not worth the glass though.

Sorry that happened to you, but thanks for the kick in the *** to replace mine

Speaking of. I haven't used these guys, but their price on both the front and rear wipers says I'll give them a shot!

Gnat, I order from them for my last set. Delivery was quick and I have no issues with fitment. I am just a little sad that their prices have dropped a good amount since I ordered. Maybe I need an extra set.

That's not bad. Everywhere I was finding before I stumbled on the site I linked either was out of stock at reasonable prices or wanted over $30 (when you include shipping in some cases)

I used to have the same problem with my old Escape too. Boggles my mind how a single 13" blade is more expensive than a pair of 18" or 22" blades. I understood when rear wipers were rare, but all SUVs seem to have them and there is no lack of SUVs on the road anymore
