I'm a new member and owner of a 2017 Cayenne. The voice command is not operational. The dealer says they will add the option for $1000. That seems ridiculous. I also have a BMW that I got coded to add additional functionality to the car. Is there someone that does that for Porsche? Thanks

 

There have been some threads where it appears in Russia this is rather common, and basically done by owner/hackers. I haven't seen any mention of it in the US. Voice command also requires the voice-command button on the end of the turnsignal stalk AFAIK (my '11 has it there).. It may not be as simple as just writing a code string to the PCM.

FWIW - If I could send it to you - I would. I spent the time to train the voice command - then promptly forgot about it. I have never used it. Not once. SWMBO's Lexus has it - I've never used it on the Lexus either.

I have the button in the Cayenne. I use voice commands frequently in my other cars primarily for navigation and phone. Thanks for the information.

 

Then you need two things - the enabling code that turns it on in the PCM, and a way of writing the code to the PCM (normally requires a PWIS - Porsche Diagnostics System.) You're in North Carolina? I guess you don't get to Brooklyn NY NY very often. I've heard/read there are gentlemen there who offer all sorts of custom coding for cash.
