Blacked out my a**, almost!

Painted my tips black with Brake caliper paint. Purchased a tow hitch cover and the rear hatch trim in black.

The final step is to procure the lettering in gloss black and it's done. No more silver on the car.

Anyone know where to get the Cayenne Turbo in black?

Thanks for looking and enjoy the one pic. I'll try to post a few more in a bit.

Looks great! Love the exhaust tips. Did this on my 997TT and will soon do it on my 958TT now that I've seen these photos.

There is a source out of China that offers the turbo emblems in black. I opted to flat plasti dip mine. I also still need to install my Lamin-x Smoke films on the tails and lower reflectors.

The heat from the exhaust tip won't melt the Plastidip?

Which tips do you have? If you have the basic tips that come on the Base and diesel (S too?), then no. If you have other tips then you'd have to look to see how they are done.

The basic tip actually has a shroud over it and that is mostly what you are seeing. Even after doing a 200 mile leg of a road trip in my diesel I can still touch the shroud without discomfort.

I plasti-dipped mine a few years ago now and have had zero issues. I decided I liked the look so I always planned to get them powder coated when the dip started looking ratty, but it's held up with no issues at all.

Somewhere around here I have a thread where I showed my work in progress.
