New owner with audio questions

Hi there,

I've found myself with a '13 GTS parked in my garage after trading in my '16 Macan S recently. This one is equipped with the PCM/Nav system, non-Bose. Something that I've come to really miss from the Macan. I've started to investigate options to remedy this issue, but wanted to see if anyone has any undertaken such aftermarket stereo improvements? If so, to what extent did you upgrade? I've received a couple ideas from local shops that range in cost from about $3,500 - $10,000. No surprise there, but I've not done any aftermarket audio work for many, many years so I'm feeling a bit of a novice in evaluating the options.

Here's a quick and dirty pic with the winter setup still on it. Summer wheels go back on on Monday.

Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom!
Phil

Can you list your option list?

Go to EZ Vin decoder if you don't have it handy.

I can't imagine that that GTs doesn't have SAT/Nav as I thought that's option that all GTS's would have.

If you're going to upgrade, look on eBay for the stock setup, and if you can, get the Burmeister. It's an amazing sounding system.

I have a 16 GTS cayenne with bose that sounds great. Our 16 macan s had base system impulse buy well equipped but didn't have bose. Very different from my boss. Far inferior

I misread the original post.

The only thing you're missing is the Sat radio? Except for Howard Stern and NPR, there's nothing on that media, worth beans, that you can't get from your smart phone.

I would forego the Satellite quest and get a subscription to Apple music and Spotify/Pandora and call it a day. It's a better alternative. Satellite radio has the worst sound quality of any media out there.

Love your car though. It's a beauty

Thank you much.

I currently stream XM through my phone, combined with Apple Music. I was just looking at easy button options (oxymoron with Porsche, I realize) to have XM integrated back into the PCM.

My bigger question is really surrounding the stereo upgrade options.

Cheers!
