Just posting as when I searched nothing came up....so hopefully this helps someone in the future.
Car: 2011 Cayenne S Symptoms: Driving along at city speeds and then BOOM...lock up of passenger side rear wheel, followed by every system known to man going into fault mode. PSM failure, Electronic brake failure, AWD system failure, ABS light flickering Solution: replaced part number: 958-606-405-10 |
3 Attachment(s)
Just found your thread. I experienced the same problem on Monday. My new sensor arrives today. Will report back with the result. BTW. the new revision for the sensor is 958-606-405-02.
Attachment 536534 Attachment 536535 Attachment 536536 |
your part number pulls back ABS sensor...my part number pulls back speed sensor.
Not sure if two separate things...there is a price difference so I would be careful. |

Hey there, I have this same issue so I started googling. Looks like it's been four months now - Has your Cayenne "semi shut off" since replacing the speed sensor back in March?
Thanks! Everything has been normal |
I have a 2012 Porsche Cayenne, and the " Warning Brake Force Distribution" sign comes on my dashboard once and a while. The car shuts down to a weak acceleration with no radio, a/c, or electrical. I have to pull over, turn off the ignition, and when I turn it back on everything is fine. Is this what you were experiencing? If not, any advice? Thanks!

The only time that I've ever seen that message is when I scan my Cayenne with my iCarScan scanner but it goes away after it finishes scanning. Only advice is to get it scanned and see what codes are stored. |
I had this happen to my 2012 Cayenne Turbo yesterday scanner pulled right rear sensor even though it threw multiple errors like PSM failure, suspension, AWD, ABS and all sorts. I swapped it out and all errors cleared. I used a $20 part exact same part number as the sensor for other VW cars like the Q7 and the Touareg, exact part match

You need to scan it to know which one of the 4 is causing the error. It uses the same parts is a Q7 and Touareg of the same year
