2014 Cayenne trailer brake controller

Hi Everybody! New here, and happy to be a new member of the Porsche family! Several posts helped me get to this point, so thank you, but I need a little more help - I just installed the factory trailer hitch kit from Suncoast on my 2014 CTT. I installed the module in the back compartment, but haven't had it programmed yet. I used the VW connector and wires to hook up a Tekonsha Primus IQ to the factory brake controller harness, but nothing. I probed the factory harness but did not find power on the black/yellow wire, and the brown wire wasn't even a good ground. Does the module need to be programmed before the brake controller harness will work? Not sure if it matters, but the car sees the trailer when plugged in, and the trailer lights work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a similar issue only I took mine in to the dealer for programming and they said it wasn't communicating with the controller. I need to remove the interior pieces again and check it then take it with the pieces removed so they can do the troubleshooting. At least your lights work when plugged in, mine don't. It's probably the same kit as I got mine from Suncoast as well.

As far as the brake controller goes, I discovered one of the 4 trailering fuses in the right--side dash fuse box was blown. A 25A fuse on a circuit that has never been used? Weird, but the controller works now. I have an appointment to get the lighting module programmed on Thursday. I'd rather stab myself in the eye than take it back out!
