Just test drove a 2013 Cayenne, felt it was slower than 2009 honda accord lx, the 4-cylinder version. Is it normal? Thinking to buy one but did not feel it is right, maybe something going on. The engine sounds also loud.

Can’t speak for the Base V6 but my 2011 S model V8 is plenty fast. Maybe take yours out of comfort mode and try sport mode? I wasn’t a fan of the V6’s I have either test drive or been given as loaners.. The Mecan on the other hand is plenty fast as a base model.

Are you kidding? The Cayenne is 300HP, it is quicker than any other japanese car by far. There is something wrong with the 2013 Cayenne.

Horsepower isn't everything. You have to consider the vehicle curb weight to horsepower ratio.

Cayenne V6 has a ratio of 15:1
Accord LX has a ratio of 17.7:1

Cayenne wins but not by much. Maybe the Accord feels faster to him since it's lower to the ground so it gives it that faster sensation.

If that is the case, you may seriously consider NEW HONDA ACCORD LX 4 or 6 cylinders. Why pay for a huge $$$ delta if you don't see major differences and not happy. My 2014 Cayenne is Powerful and Quick, smooth and handling beautifully.

I doubt anyone is cross shopping between Cayenne and Accord
