transmission is smooth in every gear except going into 3rd please HELP
Hey guys I have a 2011 cayenne turbo and it slips going into 3rd gear
transmission fluid was flushed recently and didn’t help
if I use tiptronic then every gear shifts perfectly
what can be causing this?

How many miles on the car?
Seems unusual just to be 3rd gear, but AFAIK the transfer case issues typically present themselves between gears 2-3-4 and present as a slip or shudder. Just to rule out the TC i would change the TC fluid and see where to go from there.
Good luck,

My 2011 CTT has 135K miles and has been doing the same since I bought it 50K+ ago. You can avoid it, though. If you manually shift into 3rd above the ~2.5K RPM mark, it's milky smooth.
I replace TC oil every 10K with engine, and I had ATF service done about 20K ago. Doesn't make a lick of difference.
I've concluded it's likely the valve body in the tranny, but not worth the price to replace. It hasn't gotten any worse (or better) in 50K+ mi driving, so I assume it's just endemic to the car. I've come across others on other forums who have been able to get rid of the 3rd gear slip by replacing the valve body. It's not a cheap procedure, though, and it's not really more than an annoyance.

Seems Common
I have a 12' and notice the same "slip". It usually floats RPMS twice as apposed to just once for every other gear. I've also come to live with it, as the situation hasn't gotten worse (or better) during ownership. As mentioned the symptom seems to clear up the higher you shift in the band, aka throttle %, aka getting on it. You either live with it for free or live without it for $$
