955 Turbo Y Intake replacement

I believe my Y tube is cracked (Durametric throwing an error). I'm looking to replace it, found this silcone tube from Porscheshop in the UK. I think I'm going to try it. Anyone else heard of it or seen it used??

So I wonder if that replaces the two hump hoses between the Y and intake pipes at the same time? Kinda looks like it from the pic but there aren't any real dimensions on the site.

That's what I've read. It basically eliminates 2 clamps.

A pretty good price as well. Let us know about how it fits.

Did they have other colors than blue? I am tempted to redo my valve covers and coil packs to be silver with red, so blue would be the black sheep in that part of the car.

I'd really be interested in some more info on this when you get it in hand. Like what size all the openings are and if it has a way to mount the MAP sensor in the top. It looks like you will have to clamp the vacuum fitting on the bottom which isn't a big deal since I seem to always have issues with the stock fitting anyway.

If you wouldn't mind snapping some pics and dimensions I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!!
John

Looking around tonight I stumbled on this but it's not really 90 deg but close. Would have to adapt for the vacuum fitting and the MAP sensor. Could be a pretty cheap start though.

The stock Y-pipe can be had for cheap to replace but that looks like a nice piece depending on how the MAP sensor is mounted. I would also like to see the inside to see if the air is guided anyways.

So I noticed I had a boost leak from the Y pipe and decided to order this silicone replacement. The first thing I notice is it does not come with a place to mount the MAF censor. I also noticed a leak on the left side joint that comes off of the intercooler. I should have it installed on Monday.

Boost leak here.

Well I tightened things up and replaced O-rings. Let's see if the leaks are taken car of. I received no response from the company for the Y pipe with no MAF port. It's in so we will see if I have any problems with the MAF.

You mean the MAP sensor. Did you use a bolt/nut to keep it secured in the tube?

FYI, I had this made by a local performance fabricator when I had my CTT. Flange was welded on for the MAP sensor. This could be replicated pretty easily...maybe not the whole thing (I had a full intercooler and piping kit made) but sure the y-pipe. Not much in cost for the parts at all.

You are correct sir. MAP. I remember seeing your build, it's sweet. It's a little harder for me to get a custom build since the pig is in Costa Rica.
