Hoping to find someone who has been through this or has some ideas for my mechanic. My 06 cayenne turbo s has been at the dealer for a month. When I first bought the car within a month all of a sudden I put the key in and nothing came on accept the logo on the dash. Steering column didn't click unlocked like usual. Took it to the dealer and they reprogrammed the car and it started working again. They said if it happens again you likely need a steering column. So like 7 months later it does it again. The dealer has now ordered a steering column and it still wouldn't come alive. They now ordered a kessy box to see if it comes alive. If that doesn't work I have no idea where they go next. One weird possible cause was the night this happened my son didn't close the back hatch all the way when he went to the car to get something. I've heard the car making a weird clicking noise when the hatch wasn't closed all the way. Not sure if this is a clue or not. Anyone has any ideas let me know. Battery has a full charge btw. Thanks for any help.

 

The battery has a full charge, but how old is it?

 

I don't know because when I bought the car approx. 8 months ago it was already in there. I know the dealer has tried putting a battery box to the leads under the hood while trying programming.

 

Hi. Did you ever resolve this issue. Stuck with the same symptoms now. Car wont crank or turn on. Everything is locked up.
Only guage cluster logo lights up when trying to start.
Curious what your resolution was.

 

I wish I could help you. The dealer had to go through some kind of reprogramming of the steering column and security electronics systems many times then eventually it came alive. Ran for about 8 months then did it again. Was in the shop for another 5 weeks finally they got it to come alive. If they get you up and running get rid of it!
