so I get my Cayenne delivery two days ago. One of my two porsche entry key fobs doesn't work even though the battery goidcand it gives the LED light acknowledgement. The dealer in CA said they were both working when it left. Any ideas?

 

Ideas? Not a bunch. Is this a KESSY (keyless-entry-start-system) key?

Can you start the vehicle with the key? Swap batteries between the two fobs and see if the problem follows the battery. If so - replace both batteries. If not - visit your friendly local dealer, the key may need to be reinitialized (recognized by the system.)

 

i swapped batteries and no dice. But dealer told me without the code (on a tag I don't have) I will need a new one. Well at least it's under warranty, but otherwise it would be $350

 

I went to Porsche Mpls, and they got me in right away and reprogrammed the keys. odd
