2006 Cayenne Turbo Questions

Hey all - i'm new to the site and Cayenne's in general, but not new to cars at all....

I'm looking to possibly move into an SUV from my 2006 Lexus IS350, and the Cayenne is an obvious choice....

I"m considering taking a look/shot at a 2006 with 81K miles... the description says:
"MANITAINED BY PORSCHE SPECIALISTS!! YES THE WATER PIPES, DRIVE SHAFT AND COIL PACKS HAVE BEEN REPLACED. FLAWLESS BODY AND LEATHER. HEATED SEATS. SUNROOF, NAVIGATION, ALL WHEEL DRIVE, FRONT AND REAR PARKING ASSIST. 2 SETS OF WHEELS WITH EXCELLENT TIRES FOR BOTH SUMMER AND WINTER. ITS A BEAUTY!!!!"

So, i know that the things mentioned above are a few of the issues that are common with the Cayenne... but, are there others i should be concerned about???

What about turbo replacement? Do the turbo's require rebuilding/replacement after so many miles?

I'm weighing my options on getting this truck versus some other SUV's versus another car, and possibly even just keeping my Lexus... i love the car - its been trouble free, good performer for what it is, and looks great

no suggestions?

I see people consistently talking about the super high cost of maintaining this vehicle.... i'm not sure i understand.... i see tires as one example, which doesn't bother me... i'm just not sure i understand - it might not be a toyota to maintain, but is it really THAT bad?

There is an inevitable reality that owning a luxury top-end motor isn’t going to come cheap no matter how you do it. If you buy a newer model you pay through depreciation, if you buy something 6 or 7 years old with some miles on the clock you’re going to be shelling out for substantial repairs and running costs.

You’re doing the right thing. Make a pessimistic list of all the things - including tyres and fuel - that your new motor is likely to need and if it falls within budget, then go for it.

if it's well maintained and all the recalls/TSB's are done you should be good..
someone in rennlist have 190kmiles on his Cayenne Turbo.. whatever they listed those are the main concerns.. make sure they have proof that it was done though
