Offset Calculation and Spacers

Planning in making the switch from 21" Cayenne GTS (957) to 19" Turbo (958) Wheels.

The specs are the following:

21" GTS Wheels 10 in. Wide Offset 50
19" Turbo Wheels 8.5 in. Wide Offset 59

What would be the recommended spacer size? Should I stick with OEM or aftermarket? Should I expect any effect from the spacers in handling? Thanks!

I run 25mm spacers on my cayenne with the factory gts style 21's and a Techart lowering module, stance is perfect, haven't noticed any side effects like diminished handling.

1. You will need a 28mm spacer to get the 19's to fit as flush as the stock GTS wheels.

2. Why do you want to do this and what sized tires will you be using?

3. Are you sure the 958 turbo wheels are only 8.5" wide?

4. There are no OEM spacers in this size. They only come in 5mm and 17mm

5. I am running spacers on my Cayenne and my M3. No issues whatsoever. Just make sure you tighten the bolts with the wheel/tire unweighted (partially at least)

Thanks SBD and Gotham.

Making the change to 19" because of the ride comfort. Tire comparison as follows:

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
295/35-21 4.1in 14.6in 29.1in 91.5in 692 0.0%
265/50-19 5.2in 14.7in 29.4in 92.5in 685 1.0%

The 19" 958 Cayenne Turbo wheels are 8.5" wide. The 21" are the same width as the 957 GTS.

Any confirmation of why the 17mm OEM spacers are only for the rear?

I have run H&R spacers for several years and many thousand miles with no issues at all. Just make sure that if get non OEM spacers that they are hubcentric+wheel centric...not just hubcentric. Also make sure to upgrade to longer bolts so that you still have enough threads going into the hubs!

SBD is right about 28mm spacer. Be sure to get long bolts when going that big.

what about the looking for 19's what are wider than 8.5in????
