New '04 Turbo Owner!
Hey guys, thanks for having me! Cannot wait to get to know you guys, share stories and photos, and possibly buy some items from the classifieds.
Here is a quick photo:
Here is a quick photo:
I've never seen that rear lid before. What are the round things in the bumper on either side of the hatch? Additional reverse lights? And in the center of the bumper lined up with the backup sensors... is that an aftermarket rear camera? Radar/laser jammer? I see an LED display in the left side of the dash.
Looks like you may have the Advanced Off-Road Technical Package too.
I've never seen those wheels on a Cayenne either. We need more pics!

Hey Tim! I guess the guy before me put like a crap load of cash into this car, on top of the bast 98k back in 2004. Let me know what aftermarket stuff you notice with this car.

Some notes on those photos.
That is a camera in the rear bumper. I guess it displays in the instrument cluster, which is pretty cool.
Wheels are aftermarket.
There's a lot of custom suede in the interior.
Looks like a cutout for a laser jammer in the front grille, but it might be missing?
I'm not sure what the buttons in front of the shifter do.
The display on the left could be an air-fuel gauge.
The calipers have the Brembo logo on them instead of Porsche, but I can't tell from the pics if they are any bigger than stock.
Screens in the headrests are aftermarket.
You should have Porsche Entry & Drive, but the pics show a regular key in the ignition. (Entry & Drive uses a small plastic key that remains in the ignition, and only works when an actual key is present in the vehicle)
Gear selector **** has been changed/recovered (it should have an aluminum strip in it).
The front door entry guards have been changed (if illuminated guards came with it, they would say "Cayenne Turbo").
You do not have the Advanced Off-Road Technical package; the rocker guards and aluminum skid plate were added after the fact.
There's a **** with up and down arrow lights above the PCM screen. I don't know what that's for either.
Your diff-lock rocker switch shouldn't be stuck in the down position. In fact, I'm pretty certain your climate control rocker switches shouldn't be that way either.
Your emergency brake pedal pad is aftermarket - to match the original brake and gas pedals. Looks pretty good.
That's all I can see off the bat.

I'm also wondering what the buttons on top of the shifters do. For the amount of money the previous owner did, I surprised he didn't lower the car a little. From the pics, the car looks a little high but can be just from the angle of the pics taken.
A couple of other things:
The plastic moulding below the hatch glass should be painted to match (Titanium Metallic), and not black.
And the antenna on your roof is aftermarket as well. I wonder what that's for. It would be a really interesting car to check out in-person and try to figure out all of the modifications.

1. Fog lights on/off.
2. Disable rear view camera in dash during forward drive.
3. Changes dash display from rear view to information (temp/speed/gear/etc.)
4. Turns on white flashing strobes in the fog lights.
5. Not too sure, whatsoever! Haha

The scariest thing in this car is a huge black (amplifier looking box) in the trunk with an red and white "Ai" logo. Has tons of wire sets coming out labeled rear-view, navigation, strobes, etc. Seems to be controlling all the aftermarket stuff.
If anyone is located in Chicago, let's totally meet up and try to figure this thing out haha!

I miss this truck.
I recently saw the Prior Design kit, and the rear lid reminded me of this Cayenne. Is this your old car?
