Question Help!! does anybody know on cayenne 1/4 mile time difference on 18" and 21" wheels?

hi guys!

Does anybody know on cayenne 1/4 mile time difference with 18" and 21" wheels?

lets say 18" (52lbs with tires) and 21"(71 with tires) both are factory oem, can it make 1 second difference or i am wrong?

i have a 2008 cayenne s, per specs it does 14.3-14.5 but i am running at 15.5, im running with 21", i launch the car from start pretty well because i am experienced with 1/4 mile with other AT cars already.

any help would be really appreciated....

Besides the additional rotational mass, you are also slightly changing the gearing since the overall tire diameters are most likely not the same. From experience and what I have seen online, worst case scenario is most likely no more than 3/10ths of a second slower. For example, 13.5 vs 13.2 sec. This is only my ballpark opinion and has not been validated.

I should also add that last time I ran the 1/4 in my 18" winters and in hindsight think I would have had a better launch with the heavier 22"s since they have much better grip and less sidewall flex.

No. And if you have to ask, you have the wrong vehicle. What you seek is a Mustang, Corvette, Camaro, Carrera........ not a 5,000 pound SUV.
