Question (GTS)Is there a way to enable SPORT MODE all the time?

I picked up a 2008 Cayenne GTS for the wifey and would like to leave Sport Mode enabled all the time. It's a PITA to always haves to hit sport mode every time i start it. Yes i'm lazy

Thanks

J

I feel your pain. First of all, kudos to your wife for wanting sport mode on all the time! I have gotten used to it, however, I still have the thought every once in a while.

I have a decent amount of custom audio/alarm installation experience and pretty sure I could get it to work with a little aftermarket help. I could make/get a timed relay which would pulse trigger on ignition, then momentarily complete the pos or neg polarity circuit for the Sport button (to automatically give continuity). To make this feasible, I could either get the wiring diagrams or use a multimeter at the connector to figure out what circuit was being completed by the Sport button. FWIW, any good custom alarm installer could do this too.

When I think about the work and added potential for complications down the road, I just opt to keep pressing the button when I start the truck

For some reason, this is sounding more interesting to me now that I am putting this down in writing.

The DEI 528T is a common timed replay with lots of options. I do not think I would need much more than this properly configured to get it working.

No worries. Just to let you know, I am already working on this. I should be done shortly since I have the final wiring diagram. This will be slightly more complicated than I anticipated going into it.

Look for another post shortly with full details..
