I was doing 120km/h at highway with my cayenne turbo 957 , and was passing some cars . I always downshift because of turbo lagg and I want it to kick hard , so I was at 120 at 5th gear and downshifted 2 times , but the car or me downshifted at 2nd gear , rpm were at 7000+ and I hear a crying noise from the engine . No check engine light poped up but I am a little worried , did I break something , or should I check something ? What about diverter valves , I am at 85000km , should I change them ?

I didn't think the software would allow a downshift into > redline.
And actually it did allow it , soon after this, my transmission started to slip and go in limp mode. After I checked it , workshop changed the transmission valve ( 1750 euro job) and no issues after that .
