Great review. Would like to see more people do these. Thanks for taking the time and posting!

fwiw: I bought a new diesel two years ago and drove it for about 40k miles.
Extremely impressive torque.
Even though i have a Turbo, the diesel is not the far behind.

We love our Cayenne V6 . The Diesel was not available in 2012 but wish it was as I do feel it's a true SUV . The only snag I see is that they just aren't popular in my region so trading it in might be a tough negotiation hurdle . I also agree with you about the SUV being a (paraphrasing) rational vehicle .

It is also common to see the base and diesel vehicles modestly equipped. Fot instance the car you showed had rather basic wheels and a standard interior yet it still looks great . It's amazing how easy it is to dress up the car with just a few nice options . For instance our V6 has the two tone umber creme interior, Turbo wheels , panoramic roof , ventilated seats , and a few other choice options which dress it up to feel extremely comfortable and ideal for sitting in traffic . The visibility is terrific (agree with you).

I know that you have faced a few hiccups with the 991S but our Cayenne has 30K miles on it and has had zero issues .

It took me a long time to buy an SUV (I am about to turn 56 ) but now that we have one I can not imagine what took me so long . The rear space is ideal for shopping and the I noticed somewhere in yoir photos or videos that you have pets which the Cayenne is of great use . We drive ours more than any of our other cars and even though the new Macan sounds very appealing we love the space and are keeping our car and waiting for the 2015 models .

The 2015 diesel will be on the list of test drives .
Thanks for posting the video . I am not much of a photographer but heres a few pics (from the day i decided to buy it )of how some nice wheels and interior can spice up these base cars.
Thanks for the review !!!
