I have to carry heavy stones and i want to load them in my trunk since it gets dirty....would u think about 400lbs. in the trunk alone(no rear passengers) will handle w/o issues or putting too much stress on the shocks??~ thanks in advance! (Manual says max axle load rear 3384lbs...have no clue....)

 

I think you'll be fine. if you had 3 adults in the back seat alone they would weigh 400-500 lbs.

 

The tongue weight for towing a trailer is over 600lbs so 400 in the back should be no problem!!
