my 2015 Cayenne due nov - roof rails
Hi,
My Cayenne Turbo is due in November and I will be spec'ing it tomorrow - going black with Turbo design wheels.
What are everyones thoughts on black roof rails? I will never use them, it's purely cosmetic - anyone have any pictures of with vs without?

I ordered my S with Roof rails. I ordered all black car with black Roof rails.
I'm replacing a 4Runner that I use to haul stuff like lumber if I'm building something or repairing a deck ect. The rails and racks are good for getting long boards that won't fit in the truck. I have an SUV to drive in the Winter and use as a utility vehicle. I don't intend to baby it.

Get the roof rails. I just put a rhino rack on my non-roof railed GTS and it is very noisy. It's one of those things that you may never need, but it sure comes in handy if you do... and per discussion, there's no real way to put these in if it's not done at the factory without some major work.
Pic without: Looks fine... looks fine with them too. I sure wish mine had em.

Get them and get them in black. On a black car they will blend in and then they are there if you (or the next owners) ever need them. The previous comment was correct, Porsche says it isn't possible to add them after the fact.
The allowable weight between the factory rails and a gutter mount is pretty significant (220lbs vs 100lbs).
I also think they finish the lines of the car well, but I could be biased since that's what I have

If you think there is even a slight chance you will use them, then I would get them. If no chance, then I would drop them. I have the rails on my 2012 and have only used them once. I prefer the look of the car without them and will likely not get them whenever I upgrade.
