cayenne s 2005 transmission
Hi.
I own a cayenne s 2005 automatic 6 speeds.
I've been experiencing some troubles with the shifting. After driving for 15 minutes or more on the 6th speed (highway) then going back of the road the transmission sometimes struggles to shift on 4th speed (high rpm then when it shifts i feel a sock) and sometimes after shifting it blocks on the 4th speed and i have to restart it.
Today it happened. After restarting the cr then on my dashboard instead of seeing the regular D2, D3, D4 etc. I had only a D in a yellow square (nornally D2... jn yellow and not in a square)
Did someobe already experience such a problem or knows what it is exactly?
Thank you for your time.
Have a nice day
Ray

I believe that most shifting problems on these trannies stem from the valve body. If you are going to try something to correct the tranny problems this is the easiest and least expensive thing to do.
Revmax has a great one, call them and give them your VIN. Buy the remanufactured Valve body(comes with transimission filter/gasket, you need to buy 7-8 ATF.).
350 core charge upon return.
I just did this after 30k of rough shifts etc..........I am at 170k miles and still enjoying my 2006.
