DME Control Module Code 1314 Cayenne

Hi Everyone,
I am not sure from where to start the troubleshooting the DME Control Module Code #1314 I get from a scanner after PSM failure workshop comes on. The car is working fine when starts cold then after 15 - 20 minutes of driving the car would shut down when stopped in traffic. When I restart the PSM failure workshop comes on but no exclamation on the speed gauge. After another restart everything back to normal. I had a friend scan the car and got DME Control Module code 1314, he reseted the codes after I drove for about 20 minutes seems it is working fine did not turn off. However the car kind of buzzes when stopped in traffic and the RPM gauge kind of drops below .75 and comes back up. Not sure whats causing this issue. The power batter has been replaced about a year ago the component battery is the factory. I have a sound system installed with 2 amps running about 500 amps. Could that cause the batteries life to decrease. I am hoping I may have to replace the battery and not the DME unit which will be less expensive. If anyone experienced a similar issue and what the outcome was I would greatly appreciate it. I am reading different kind of faults and outcomes but not certain which one will be the one to follow. I get the code DME Control Module 1314 and not another codes. Thanks everyone hope this will help. It is a 2004 Cayenne S with 78K miles.

Hi guys - I got the psm failure workshop light worked out. Turns out it was a bad crankshaft sensor that was causing the fault code to store in the DME module. You can have it looked at if you are getting the same symptoms for your car to save lots of troubleshooting and unnecessary repairs. Runs about total $450 to get it fixed. $250 for the part and an hour of labor and tax.
