Mystery Door Light problem

Posted this on another site with no luck. New to the Cayenne game and already getting frustrated. I have searched the web and have not come up with an answer. When I open the rear doors the interior lights come on and the red light and white greeting light in the bottom of the doors comes on. When I open the front doors no lights come on in the vehicle nor in the door. To top it all off when I shut the front door after driving the interior lights stay on until I lock it. I believe it must be an actuation switch of some type after not being able to find a dedicated fuse for the doors in the manual.
Any help would be appreciated

LED's? If you installed LED's aftermarket some weird things can potentially happen because of the way the bulbs are monitored.

For example, when I switched to LED's the puddle-lights (lights under the door that shine downwards on the ground) would not turn off on my rear doors leading to a drained battery every couple of days. The solution was to put the regular bulbs in that location.

One other strange thing I saw was if you dimmed the interior lights too low (with LED's) they would start flashing. Solution here was to increase the brightness using the buttons above the rear-view mirror.

Once again, not sure if you're using LED's, but just sharing.

It's been well over one year since I switched all my interior and outside mirror puddle lights to LEDs, never had any problems.

Thanks for the reply guys. I have not switched to LEDs and this problem seems to be possibly part of a bigger issue. I am getting no audible signal when the lights are left on and the door is opened(speaker works fine) and the vehicle is relocking even when the front door is open causing the interior alarm to be activated and then the neighbours complain. Great introduction to ownership.

when i installed LED door/puddle lights (all 4 doors) i noticed that they would blink after ~1-2min and then turn off. haven't purposely verified that they stay off when doors closed/car locked yet. probably a good idea to do that now.
i believe it is the system checking for incandescent light bulb (blown or not) since the LEDs have such a low load, system thinks they are blown bulbs.

He mentioned he has no LED's.

Have you tried resetting the system so to speak, disconnect the battery for 15 minutes. Hopefully that works.

I am having my local independant european Car specialists look at it this week. He believes these are all symptoms of a bad drivers door actuator. I guess I will wait and see. I may try the battery suggestion if this does not work out.
