Door Mirror Heater 957 Cayenne
Door Mirror Heater 957 Cayenne
Just got my cayenne... Can't find a good answer to this anywhere either....
Does leaving the mirror adjustment **** turned to the heating position (middle) cause the mirror heaters to always be on? There is no neutral position for the mirror adjustment **** and my OCD likes it to be centered. I want to leave it in the middle position but I'm worried it's going to cause my mirror heaters to always be on or burn out / something bad.
Would love to hear if anyone can shed any light on this. Thanks

I wondered about that also. Not sure since mine came with wood steering wheel which deleted the heated wheel, but I think the steering wheel comes on automatically. I'd think the mirrors would also. But I could be wrong and I'm also not German.
By the way, I forgot to come back here and update. I tried turning on the mirrors the other day when it was nice and toasty 80+ degree day outside. The mirror did heat up to the touch. So I guess when the switch is in the heater position it is on. At least on my 2005 CTT.
I wonder the samething as I never received a owners manual with my Cayenne. I wonder if it only turns on when the seat heaters are on. Or the mirror heaters just stays on when switch to center.
Probably have to find out with a thermometer

At least on my 955 if the switch is in the on position, the mirror heater is on.
On my 08 957 CTT the mirror will turn on when the switch is on for the mirrors and the wheel heats up when the outside temperature is below 35-38 degrees. My .02 - It would of been nice to have an adjustment switch for the heated wheel.
