2016 CPO Cayenne

Hello, my wife is considering a 2016 Cayenne CPO, 6800 miles, loaner. Test drove it and liked it, however, strange noise and rough gear changes. It turns out its a bad Transfer case, sales guy said a small percentage of 2016's have had this problem and advised us that the X-fer case will be replaced and should solve all issues. I'm not so convinced, first, I'm weary of purchasing a former loaner for obvious reasons and this X-case issue seems to be a common problem with Porsche. Any advise/suggestions?

Hi, I guess you're new here.

I'd suggest spending a bit of time reading subjects already covered. The transfer case issues have their own thread, and the issue has addressed in depth.

I will note that the diesel and hybrids usually doesn't suffer from TC problems.

The low mileage failure indicates a defective case right from the factory. The new one should be fine.
