I'd love to get a ride in that Atom!

BTW - I'm going to be picking up a diesel in the middle of April... I'll be in touch, I'm going to need a few things done to it

it will be out on every decent chicago spring and summer day. 1.1 mile commute to work will turn into a 20 mile blast down sheridan. stop by anytime for a spirited drive

Yeah, $4 is a killer... but for me going from every vehicle I've ever owned getting less than 11mpg, the diesel is going to be a decent change, and worth the extra money at the pump.

wow, thats a nice collection, Zen Garage! I live in Glenview as well, and I'd love to check out your cars, especially that Atom. Do you ever bring it out to The Glen? I've seen a lot of nice cars there in the summer.

I know. I'm sorry. I was going to start another thread, but I saw this one and took the chance on reviving it. Hope this isn't too much trouble for me.

You still around the Palatine area?

I am at Lake-Cook and route 53 intersection.

I am looking forward to getting past this long winter and getting out to some meet and greets soon.

Unfortunately, I took my car out a couple weeks ago when the weather wasn't too bad and I hit one of the infamous potholes on Dundee road.

Waiting for my wheel to get fixed, blah!

I average 17-19 MPG in my boosted 8,000 pound '05 Dodge Ram 3500 4dr 4wd Dually with 4.10 gears. Towing my 14,000 pound canoe I get 12 to 14 mpg. Not bad, I'm happy with it.
