Just a little detailing work:
One of my friends down the road has a beautiful NISMO 350z. Only had around 1200 miles on it. The car was very dirty (a week of cold/rainy days prevented Floridian from going near water) and sadly, the person who maintains their aquarium used a California water blade on the dirt car. I can just hear the paint being scratched in my head.
The car had major scratches on the hood, trunk, spoiler, and passenger side. The car looked like it had been through the woods, it was terrible. You could feel a lot of the scratches pretty easily. It was a challenge to get them out without going too far.
Here are a few pictures of the scratches (didn't have time to document any more, plus they were hard to photograph):
One of the deepest:

This one ran all the way down the very center of the hood (Also about 5 similar depth ones that ran perpendicular to this one across the hood) :

One on the trunk:

Overall, there were probably a good 50-60 wonderful scratches around the car.
After a good day of working on the car, I finally got results I was happy with:

The three scratches I posted:
Corner of the hood (sorry for the different angle):

The front part of the scratch that ran down the middle of the hood:

Trunk Scratch (Same angle for once :-p) :

Don't bother looking for the scratches because you will not find them. :-)
Also went a head and detailed the rest of the car.
Sure was a happy man when I returned the car. I was happy for him too, having to repaint a new car is never good).
Enjoy.
