Wax Question..

Hello Everyone,

Anyways, my friend waxed my car and got lazy, and he left some wax on the rubber seals around the windsheilds and on the other black plastic parts on the car, like the parts around the rear license plate and the big thing under the front windsheild where the wipers are and more...

My question to anyone who would know the right answer is: if the wax was on the rubber/plastic for a month and my car sat in the sun for 3 or 4 days, will the wax do any damage? Damage as in discoloring, etc...

I am hoping that the wax didn't get evil...

Thanks,
Alex

p.s. I literally don't have a few spare hours to take this crap off.

I would recommend Wurth rubber care. that will clean the wax off, then you want to treat in with a rubber/plastic conditioner, like back to black (easy to get).

Well thanks for the heads up, but I am really wondering if the wax does permanent damage to the rubber/plastic...

"If" you are using a product that stain your plastic and your rubber trim, then you are using the wrong type of product, as a comsumer you don't have to deal with that, good quality products dont do that.

If the wax was left on the trim like you mention for a month it is posibble that you may see some stains. clean all of it real good and apply a good conditioner, something that has UV protection on it.
