i'm not an expert, but i've used Z9/Z10 for about 3 years. i've recently been using zymol leather cleaner (instead of Z9) followed by zaino leather in a bottle. no cracking. no drying. no slimy, over shiny surfaces. and, i love the leather smell. a lot of people who ride in my car comment on how it smells "new".
how do you guys use it?
we are not suppose to leave the Z9 to dry right? need to wipe it off after applying?
and the Z10...just leave it to dry...
am i right? i was told to apply the z10 by hand..is that true

I apply both with a MF cloth and I've let both dry. With the Z9 I try to really scrub it in as best I can, but with Z10, I just use it like a lotion.
If you have the time leatherique (hand application) is really really really nice too. Much more intensive cleaning and conditioning IMO.

Straight from the Zaino site...
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Apply Z-9 one section at a time and work the solution into a nice lather with a sponge. If your leather is heavily soiled, use an upholstery (interior detailing) brush.
When finished scrubbing, be sure to remove all cleaner from the surface with a damp towel.
Do not use an excessive amount or allow cleaner to dry without wiping.
Dry the leather with a clean, dry cotton towel.
Allow your leather to dry thoroughly before applying Z-10.

Just did the interior today with the Z9/Z10 combo...was thinking about getting some Einzett or Adams, but needed some stuff from Zaino anyways so I saved myself some extra shipping and gave this combo a try.
First for Z9 - I tried to just spray on and wipe off with a cotton towel, but it had minimal effect. So I found a toothbrush and used that to spray a 4"X4" area or smaller and just used the brush to scrub out the dirt followed by wipe off, another spritz and final wipe just so I didn't re-embed any of the scrubbed out crap.
It worked really well for 95% of stains and the towel I started with went from pure white to completely nasty, which I guess is a good thing. There was a 2" pencil like mark that no matter how much I scrubbed it didn't have any effect and a smaller sized area on my drivers seat where I think my jeans stained the light leather blue. Most of the stain came off/out but not 100%.
As for the smell, I am around much worse 'clinical' or chemical smells in the hospital so I didn't think Z9 was anything like that at all, frankly I thought it smelled quite nice. Very clean and subtle.
As for Z10, not much to say other than I used a cotton applicator pad and put a nice even coat on the entire surface and honestly it doesn't smell quite like I expected in the bottle but once you put it on the surface, it smells like brand new leather. Great stuff, except for the fact that I had to hop in my car shortly after and now my entire back smells like Z10...
I'm sure once it's had some time to settle in that will dissipate and my car will smell great without tainting me. Although it is a nice smell, so whatever.
EDIT, my camera wasn't with me, so I forgot to take before pics. The after ones wont really be all that worthwhile other than it being clean now because the interior is light-tan and the subtle difference in the shade of the seats with the dirt removed was visible but not without before and afters.
