need some detailing tips
Yea, like Phil said, whatever the paint you should just start off light and move up as necessary.. the only thing I have to add is that, if the re-paint was cc only, you're not polishing for hours without results because the new cc is covering the actual swirl marks.. I polished out my mother's car the other day and the shop that did a re-spray because of some damage only sprayed the trunk with cc after sanding it down a bit, so not only does it have tons of orange peel now, it's also covered with swirls which 3 passes of 105/PFW didn't touch, leading me to believe they're all under the cc... just so you know in case you find yourself polishing a section 10 times with no visible improvements...
Ok thanks yea a friend repainted so I dont think he just resprayed cc. I was looking at your PC kit on Detailers Domain. It comes with a black pad. Would I be albe to switch that with the red? Also I am in North Jersey, If I wanted this stuff by friday when would i have to order through you by? (considering its ground shipping)

not on polishing but maybe on waxing.
you should speak to the body shop that painted the car. Some say you can wax immediately and some say 30 days or even longer.
Its safe to polish the car provided its a polish with no protectants them.

ok also do i need to be carefull on the body lines of the car and the side scoops? Can I damage the paint. If your not following me let me now. Like right about the Z06 emblem where it is flat show i just leave it alone.
you can probably put some pressure while polishing the car out, probably 5-10lbs if I'm right.

With the pc, it's very simple. You put enough pressure until the pad stops spinning. Once the pad has stopped spinning, you've lost the dual-action movement. So on each setting and pad use, this pressure may be different. You basically want the pad to spin and oscillate in the random orbit pattern as well.
OK so far so great! The SIP is doing miracle work. I have only done the rear hatch and half the roof/halo.
I just wanted to know if there is a way to see if your leaving halograms or buffer trails. Otherwise ill have to wit till the morning and hope for sun.
Also it is very hard to see swirl marks on the car. Its orange and the halogen lights arent heling to much but I think that would improve once I got the the side. The car really doesnt have much swirling.
If i do get buffer trails or halograms then when I use the Nano it should remove them right?
