Motorcyle?

My nieghbor just got in their $150,000 west coast chopper motorcycle this week and when it was being shipped over from cali, it was covered in dust. they are leaving to go out of town this weekend and they want me to clean-up the bike for them, how do you "clean up" a bike? do you just wash it outright like a car? wipe it down with detail spray? anything I should look out for? etc... I'm pretty new to motorcycles, only other motorcycles ive done is waxing up 10+ ducati's for a bike collector that lives 3+ doors down.

Be carefull of any electronics on the bike, and use low air pressure on your air compressor to dry it. It's important that water doesn't puddle anywhere, and you can't always use your hands to get to everything, so it's critical to use compressed air.

As John already mentioned, low air pressure and low water flow. The electricals such as starter, plugs, battery, etc. should be covered up. Wash like you would a car. Rinse and dry using forced air. There's a lot of chrome so don't wax it. Chrome simply needs polishing. Painted areas can be clayed, polished, and waxed. No tire conditioner either. To do a simple wipe down if you don't want to polish the chrome, simply use glass cleaner. Oh yes, DI water is a MUST.
