3M Buys Meguiar's
You're absolutely right! No other consumer brand has done as much as Meguiar's to get people excited about taking care of their cars. And that's all Barry's doing. He's "car crazy," as he puts it, and he has brought that passion to his brand and to his customers.

Meguiar's Buyout Update!
I talked at length with Barry Meguiar last weekend at the Cruisin' For A Cure car show at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, California, and he was super positive about the 3M buyout. There are no plans to change a thing that Meguiar's is currently doing, just the opposite. He said 3M loves everything he is doing/has done--especially the TV program and the Internet Community. Barry is staying on to run things for a long time--several years. And, 3M has manufacturing plants and distribution all over the world so Barry said Meguiar's will now be available in 93 countries. So that's a plus. And, to dispel the rumors about 3M making some of Meguiar's products, they do not--never have. In fact, Barry said 3M has been buying Meguiar's mold release for years.
