Detailing Help needed !!!

I wondering how could i maintain the sticker guard behind the doors which are on the rear fenders. Is it necessary to change it once in a while, b/c it is getting a bit yellowish & its annoying me.

I have not really found a way to keep the plastic film from yellowing its the nature of some of the film.

You might want to change it from time to time.

You can always polish and wax it but from my experience on my own car it does yellow over time.

The film Porsche uses is 3M. But it's the older generation of 3M film that will date back to the 993. You're better off ordering a new one every few years. When you get the new one, make sure to polish and wax them using gentle products. Make sure the wax does not contain any silicones or yellow carnauba. The system of care we use on all our clear film is polish with zymol hd-cleanse and wax with zymol field glaze. Works like a charm.

On the white and arctic silver colors, the film was actually painted (not clear). That is why the color on the film is off the day you buy it. Once the film is yellowed, there is no way to reverse it. The way we maintain it is with these two products:

FYI its not the actual film itself which yellows, its the adhesive underneath the film which yellows.

It's the adhesive that yellows. Best bet is to remove the 3m & get Venturshield. It matches the orange peal better & looks more transparent then 3m.

My C4S was switched over & I'm very happy with it!
