I was a big Zaino advocate for a long time, I since then have switched to other products for LSP but still consider their products top notch. One of my issues with Zaino was its lack of depth, which on black is crucial when aiming for that POP! What you will get with Zaino is a very reflective, crystal clear finish what you wont get is paint that looks like a pool of oil. So I often would top the Zaino z2 with a carnauba wax like P21s 100%. I found it gave it that extra depth and glow on blacks, whereas the zaino by itself is a bit sterile.

If my paint was "Jet Black" instead of "Black Metallic", I would likely get that "pool of oil" wet look.

Did the P21s, a carnauba, remove any of the Zaino, a polymer, when applied? Could an orbital buffer be used for the final of P21s?

I liked P21s but it didn't last long in the North Florida heat. But now I live in the Central Arkansas cold!

Still prefer the Zaino but looking for the right mix!

Thanks!
Best!

Well considering you do my cars and I learned what I know from you, I would just be rehashing what you already said.

You've become more than the average DIYer and are enjoying caring for your cars. That's cool and worth sharing with other peers. What we professionals do is great, but to see the passion from DIYers and their thirst for knowledge and detailing, is even greater. Keep it up.
